already.
1.) The corporate version offers you centralized management of what is
mentioned in point one.
2.) Again, the corporate version will have a dedicated server that will
handle pushing updates (both virus and upgrades)and allowing central control
of virus alerts and quarantining of viruses.
3.) Your central management server will show you all of the machines that
have SAV installed and the ones that do not. It scans the network for you.
I'm sure there will be the occasion one off client that can't be located to
you will have to hunt down but this should be the exception.

Subject: Symantec AV Strategy
Hi all,
I am updating/defining our global Symantec AV strategy and I need inputs
from those who have done that before.
My areas of focus will be:
1. Define deployment, configuration and upgrade (including defs update)
process.
2. Define Virus outbreak handling and response process.
3. Define process for identifying unmanaged AV clients.
Questions:
a. how do you do it on your shop?
b; how do you detect clients that not running AV software?
Thanks for your inputs.
Serge
