CompTIA Security+ is a good and well-known entry-level certification
for people who has interest working in Information Security roles. If
you already in the InfoSec industry, I believe people know (or at
least have heard) about Security+
As security consist of broad ranges, you might also want to complement
yourself with specialized security fields certification either from vendor
driven certification such as:
(examples below are not mean to be exhausted):
Cisco: CCNA/CCNP Security
Microsoft: MCSA/MCSE Security
RedHat: RHCSS
CheckPoint: CCSA/CCSE
Or from a vendor-neutral specialized certifications such as ISC2, GIAC
or EC-Council. (a lot of options available starting from Security
Administration, Management, Legal, Audit, Software Security and
Forensic)
ISC2: CISSP, SSCP, CSSLP,etc
GIAC: GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GPEN, etc
EC-Council: CEH, CHFI, ECSA, LPT, etc
ISACA: CISA, CISM, etc
