Thank You Anwar. CompTIA Security+ is absolutely not a joke. And here is
why - everyone has to start somewhere. In the process of studying and
preparing for the exam properly - i.e. purchasing and reading the books,
learning the concepts, learning the terminology - a student is laying
the groundwork for advanced certifications. And ultimately the purpose
for taking a certification exam is to demonstrate to a potential
employer that you have a verified level of knowledge, skills, and
abilities; proof that you have put in the time and effort to learn the
concepts. Is it possible to pass the exam without understanding the
fundamental security concepts that Sec+ is designed and intended to
teach? Certainly (and unfortunately) yes. But, for those that do this it
will very quickly become apparent to an employer that this is what has
happened. And they will just as quickly lose their job - and deservedly
so. When given the proper respect it deserves the CompTIA Security+ cert
is no joke. Study fr the exam, take the exam, and honor it for what it
is - a stepping stone.
