Use
nmap -sL 192.168.0.0/24 >> myoutput.txt
Then sed the crap out of it, in my case if the host was live it was
resolved to the FQDN
Sed -n -e '/yourdomain.com/p' myoutput.txt >> listoflivesystems.txt
Or maybe FPing would be more helpful?
