Funny you should ask, I am trying to free load balancers from syslog
traffic. Using ECMP and anycast works for me, or at least it works in a
test environment.

Juniper and Cisco supports it, I think Linux might (with
iproute2), but I did not bother.

There is a dense, but informative, presentation by Tony Kapela from a
recent Nanog meeting on using the same for DNS.
