Though I was able to connect to ARD from my XP box via UltraVNC 1.0.1 after
setting a password for VNC client viewers, I decided to stick with OSXvnc
instead. It seemed faster to me, and it had more functionality (such as
right click). Though I never experienced crashes with ARD, I saw many
instances of others having the problem in various newsgroups and thought it
best to just use OSXvnc.
If I had a few more Mac's, and if I spent more time in OSX from a business
standpoint, then I'd think seriously about the Apple Remote Desktop 3.0
product. As it is now, there is no need for me to spend that money.
