Apple today released information about the "security content" of QuickTime 7.3. Apple notes that these updates cover Mac OS X v10.3.9, Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later, Mac OS X v10.5, Windows Vista, and XP SP2.

The update resolves potential memory corruption, multiple heap and stack buffer overflows, and elevated privilege issues.

Various credit for reporting these issues have been attributed to the following:

* Dylan Ashe of Adobe Systems Incorporated
* Tobias Klein of www.trapkit.
* Adam Gowdiak
* Ruben Santamarta of reversemode.com working with TippingPoint and the Zero Day Initiative
* Mario Ballano from 48bits.com working with the VeriSign iDefense VCP
