Sygate Technologies, Inc.™, founded in 1995, is the leading provider of

enterprise-class software solutions that extend and enforce security

policy to protect internet devices, mobile computers and corporate

desktops from intrusion and misuse.

The IDS signature engineering position will be responsible for developing

signatures for Sygate Intrusion Detection System. The qualified candidate

should have in depth knowledge about network security and protection

against hacking computer system. In addition, the candidate should be

familiar with all sources for identifying and guarding against the latest

hacking tools and practice.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Conduct daily scan of all new hacking threats from various

sources,

· Analyze threats and classify them for internal publication.

· Develop simulation tools to model the behavior of identified

threats.

· Identify or Create counter measure to identified threats.

· Develop IDS signatures for selected threats.

· Incorporate IDS signatures into existing products.

· Provide periodic publications of new IDS signatures.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years experience in network security field.

· Require C and C++ programming skills. Prefer experience under

Microsoft Windows.

· Must have a strong knowledge on protection against hacking in the

Windows environment.

· Have in depth knowledge of network security and coding security.

· Actual IDS signature development experience is highly desirable.

· Network programming or administration experience under Windows NT,

Window 98/95, and UNIX is a big plus.

· BS/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
