Security System Engineer - Baltimore/Washington DC

Provide security system engineering support in the specification,
development, and application of Multiple-Security Level (MSL) computer
security technologies. Investigate and evaluate existing and propose
approaches for implementing MSL architectures. Translate operational
requirements into technical requirements and architectures needed to
develop MSL, technologies. Carry out technology surveys and assess the
suitability of COTS/GOTS product to satisfy Naval MSL requirements. Carry
out Analysis of Alternatives to determine best approach for implementing
MSL capabilities in information systems. Identify technology gaps between
available products and needed capabilities, formulate technology
development programs to develop needed products. Develop security
architectures to satisfy DoD and Naval MSL requirements.
Skills/Experience:
Required: US Citizens, MS or equivalent degree in EE, physics, math or
related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Good
organizational skills, the ability to work independently , outstanding
written and verbal skills, and the ability to work as a member of and or
lead a multi-organization technical team.
Desired: Current government security clearance, entrepreneurial work
ethic, familiarity with DoD sponsors, familiarity with MSL and MLS
technology, at least 3 years experience in computer security and or
Information Assurance. Salary $70K-$120K.
