Duties

This is a senior-level position focused on research in the information

security space. The individual will be responsible for submitting

research proposals for new security technologies, and carrying out all

associated research activities. These may include building of prototypes,

publishing of research results, filing appropriate patents, public

presentations, etc. Projects will include short, medium and long-term

research efforts, all with the ultimate goal of commercializing the

results to help assure company's continued leadership in the security

space.

Requirements

Advanced degree (Ph.D./M.S) preferred, with 10 years experience in

commercial, government or university software research projects (some

commercial experience strongly preferred); extensive background in

research required, with the proven ability to produce prototypes,

patents, and/or published papers with novel new content; broad technical

understanding of the security industry and/or strong mathematics and

algorithm analysis skills required; proven ability to transfer research

into commercially shipping products a plus; presentation and technology

evangelism skills a plus; strong programming skills a plus.
