Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston and St. Louis

Relocation: Not Available - Must Live in Location

Salary: Depending on Skills and Qualifications

NetScreen Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for team-oriented,

highly effective and motivated individuals to be part of the System

Engineering Team in the Central United States. These positions are

located in Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston and St. Louis and reports to the

Director of Sales - Central Region.

The Sales Engineering Team's primary responsibility is to assist Account

Executives and Partners with the technical sales activities in new and

existing opportunities. Pre-Sales Engineers have in-depth, hands-on

experience with NetScreen's products and services, competitors products

and services and can demonstrate solid security and networking skills to

customers and partners. The team assists with understanding customers

requirements, the design of NetScreen solutions, delivering sales

presentations, presenting technical information about products and

services, conducting product demonstrations, installation product

evaluations, presenting at seminars, responding to RFP's and RFI's and the

technical development of NetScreen Partners.

The System (sales) Engineering Team is a critical component to the sales

team and is designed to display an in-depth knowledge about NetScreen and

industry security products and solutions.

Qualifications Include:

* Minimum of 7 years general networking industry experience, including a

practicing knowledge of TCP/IP.

* Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience with network security solutions,

including firewalls, virtual private networks and intrusion detection

systems.

* Minimum of 2 - 4 years experience with Unix, Linux and Microsoft Windows.

* Proficient understanding of the pre-sales engineering process and sales

processes.

* Strong knowledge in security and networking technologies.

* Demonstrate strong written, oral and presentation skills with the

ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences,

including executive level technical decision-makers.

* Experience in developing cost effective solutions around customer needs.

Travel: In Territory - 50% - 70%, Out of Territory - 10%
