The Security Sales Engineer will work as part of the sales team in a technical pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving ArcSight's Security offerings. The individual will work closely with assigned sales personnel,and is responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle and will often be involved with the client post purchase. This position may require occasional national and international travel.

CISSP is a BIG plus

Pre-sales experience in the security industry - four years minimum

Excellent communication/presentation skills - verbal and written

Excellent people skills with experience working in large enterprise and/or Government accounts as part of an account team

Willingness to travel - potentially internationally

Ability to understand and communicate business and technical requirements to mixed audiences from executives to line-level engineers

Expertise with various security products - Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, Scanners, etc

UNIX/Linux/Microsoft System Administration

TCP/IP and General Network Administration

Other valuable skills are - Scripting, Java programming and Database experience
