PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently looking for a Capacity and Performance Engineer. The functions of this role are to diagnose performance problems by reviewing end-to-end performance date. This typically requires peforming load testing studies, implementing and/or customizing systems management tools and correlating performance data across technology sub-systems. This role assesses client's performance management and capacity planning strategies and makes recommendations for improvement in those areas.

This position is located in Manhattan and will require 60-80% travel within the tri-state region. A bachelors degree or higer is required for consideration as well as experience in the following technical areas:

* Operation Systems Administration(Windows NT, Windows 2K, UNIX)

* Network Technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, load

balancers, proxies, VPN appliances, etc.)

* Web Applications (IIS, iPlanet, Apache, Cold Fusion, etc.)

* Databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL, etc.)

* Previous experience with network and systems management tools

* A solid understanding of e-business architectures

* Deep technical project management skills

Experience with the following is also highly desired:

* Load/stress testing tools (e.g. LoadRunner, WebLoad, etc.)

* Shell scripting/programming

* Web application development
