Position: Security Engineer
Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-10-12

Our mission is to advance the digital forensics and information security fields by providing high-end professional services and education along with cutting edge research & development, innovation and automation.
MANDIANT is looking for a motivated, experienced, intelligent candidate to support an on-going federal services contract in central Maryland. This position provides the government with source code analysis and custom tool development. The position requires strong communication and networking skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•2+ years of programming and/or software engineering experience
•1+ years of software security experience
•Strong programming and debugging skills
•Experience with object oriented programming languages
•BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related discipline
•x86 reverse engineering experience
•Ability to document technical details in a concise, understandable manner
•Ability to present technical details in a concise, understandable manner
•Ability to manage project tasks individually and as part of a team
•Working knowledge of cryptography
•Current TOP SECRET security clearance with full scope polygraph
Education
•B.S. or B.A. in a technical field preferred.
