• To work with the customer, workstream lead and project team
• To understand the customer network
• To assist in developing the requirements for modelling the existing network pertinent to the needs of the desktop transformation project.
• Gain an understanding of the desktop transformation project and the demands upon the network in order to achieve the necessary resilience and performance.
• Work with team members in developing the solution to ensure it integrates seamlessly with the other deliverable components in terms of capability, performance and security.
• To be a good team player and a self motivated individual.
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
• Production of a written impact assessment which describes the changes needed and reasons for the change upon the customer network to meet the needs of the desktop transformation project
• Production of network design documents relating to the building of the desktop server systems
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Specialist understanding of CISCO based networks including experience of high complexity, high performance and high security networks
• Knowledge and experience of performance modelling and data collection techniques
• Network analysis techniques to derive the impact of change upon complex networks
• Knowledge of and experience of CISCO Quality of Service technologies as applied to WAN ATM based links
• Knowledge of CESG encryption devices would be useful
• Design Methodology experience (production of requirements, design and test documents)
Must hold or be able to attain UK Security Clearance (DV)
