Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Ft.Lauderdale, Florida, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-10-17
Provides security services for product development and testing teams in order to help Citrix produce and release code reviews and security research.
Primary Responsibilities
-Guides product teams in building secure software by providing requirements, guidelines, design reviews, code reviews and security research.
- Assists with the technical and risk analysis of any identified security vulnerabilities in Citrix Products.
- Raises any confirmed vulnerabilities using the Citrix bug tracking systems.
- Provides input on the options for mitigating identified vulnerabilities, as needed.
- Assists with the monitoring of public forums for reports of any potential security issues that affect Citrix products.
- Works with engineering, teams, test teams, and other member of the security team to ensure that any implemented security improvements are correctly implemented.
- Assists with detailed technical investigation into specific security technologies, exploits, or new classes of vulnerabilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
• Able to analyze application source code and identify any potential security vulnerabilities or weaknesses.
• Familiar with a range of development tools, languages and processes.
• Understanding of the various security mechanisms provided by modern operating systems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively and clearly communicate with both engineers and managers.
• Good teamwork and time management skills.
-Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in computer science or software engineering.
• Commercial experience working as part of a product development group is desirable.
• Experience identifying and assessing application security vulnerabilities are a plus.
