POSITION SUMMARY

Professional Services Sales Engineer will be Responsible for supporting sales efforts involving the company’s fee-consulting activities, serving new and existing clients. The Sales Engineer will develop and implement programs to maximize sales efforts and professional service revenues. They will work closely with professional service management, sales executives and sales managers to develop plans to meet corporate objectives and provide sales support resources.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Extensive knowledge of market leading IDS/IPS, firewalls and SIEM technologies

• Strong understanding of networking and TCP/IP

• Experience designing and implementing security architectures

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Help grow consulting business through the implementation and support of sales programs to maximize sales, client satisfaction and company’s revenues.

• Responsible for supporting, developing, growing, and maintaining the effectiveness of sales operations to ensure positive professional services revenue growth, positive impact on margin, and high client satisfaction.

• Works closely with VP of Professional Services and Director of Professional Services to set strategic goals and ensure that professional services sales, revenue and profit quotas are met.

• Works closely with sales executives and managers to develop plans to meet corporate objectives and provide sales support resources.

• Helps sales team retain and grow business at existing accounts.

• Helps marketing team develop appropriate marketing materials, content development, and public speaking.

• Helps sales team generate new business via opportunity identification, solution design, business cases, etc.

• Works closely with strategic partners to develop successful sales programs.

• Possesses a thorough understanding of the organizations practices, services, and products, and acts as a subject matter expert on what drives client business.



• Responsible for staying apprised of compliance requirements and trends that may apply to SecureWorks business.

• Perform other essential duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Excellent management skills with the ability to effectively guide the organization’s sales operations to maximize revenues and profits.

• Excellent knowledge of and ability to sell company services.

• Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, organization, and problem solving skills.

• Skilled proposal writer.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Good relationship builder.

• Deep understanding of information security and compliance issues.

Education and Experience:

• 4 or more years of applicable security experience

• Bachelor degree or higher preferred

• GIAC and CISSP certifications preferred

• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
