Position: Security Engineer
Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Job Description:
Information Security (INFOSEC) System Engineer will work as part of the Family of Advanced Beyond Line-Of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) programs in the development of secure satellite terminals for tactical/strategic communication systems used by the military services and the Department of Defense (DoD). This position provides technical support as part of the programs overall system engineering effort to include security architecture analysis, security requirements definition and allocation, analysis and definition of security requirements for information protection, identification of system security vulnerabilities, and implementation of risk management, information assurance, Communicarion Security (COMSEC) and Transmission Security (TRANSEC). Knowledge of the National Security Agency (NSA) cryptographic certification process to include NSA cryptographic and Information Assurance design requirements is required; knowledge of the DOD Information Assurance Certification & Accreditat
ion Process (DIACAP) is desired.
Education Requirements:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelors and 5 or more years experience, Masters degree with 3 or more years experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelors and 9 or more years experience, Masters with 7 or more years experience or PhD with 4 or more years experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
