The Role
This role requires you to manage the System Security Team to perform duties relating to protection of the company and embed good security practices throughout all aspects of the business. The environment is fast-paced and includes state-of-the-art functionality requiring a quick mind to understand and implement new concepts in a dynamic workplace.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Proactively manage and support the efforts to improve, maintain and enhance systems security within all the facilities to ensure high availability 24/7
Recommend solutions, review, architect security and signatory duties on acceptance of enterprise and local integration or implementation initiatives
Troubleshoot and support network security devices and applications, e.g., IDS, DDoS protection, VoIP, Firewalls and encryption solutions
Manage security assessments, penetration testing and compliance programs
Provide security support for advanced OS Security (Windows /UNIX /LINUX /Solaris)
Monitor, investigate and respond to security events and alerts
Manage security incidents to include preparation, response, identification, containment, investigation, eradication, recovery, track status, follow-up, lessons learned, documentation, preventive or corrective actions
Assess internal IT infrastructure and services to ensure that they are compliant with the policies and procedures
Applying security framework principles and compliance requirements in the enterprise infrastructure
Perform Risk Assessments and security reviews
Provide support (outside of normal work hours) to the business
Conduct on-the-job training to staff as necessary
Promote best practice information security with key business stakeholders

Key Skills and Attributes:
Essential
Educated to degree level in an information technology related field
Excellent analytical skills
In-depth knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP
Relevant experience with network security appliances, such as firewalls, IDSs, etc
Thorough knowledge and experience of UNIX, LINUX and Microsoft security in large environments, ideally global
Knowledge and experience of the ten Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) domains of Security
Professional technical writing ability for policy development and documentation needs
High level of initiative, creativity and motivation
Outstanding communication, presentation and influencing skills
Incident response management experience
Netscaler, CDN and load balancing technologies
Scripting and automation skills
Ability to apply standard risk management principles
Flexible and personally motivated to succeed
Experience within the gambling and gaming / IT / service / high transaction volume / financial services industries
Desirable
A minimum of two years enterprise security practical experience
Knowledge of CISCO devices, routers, VPNs, etc
Ability to use PL/SQL and extract information efficiently from the datawarehouse and production databases
Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE,RHCSS
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (ISC2)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
SANS GIAC
ISO 27001 and/or PCI DSS experience
Experience using products/vendors like Tripwire, SourceFire, RSA, Cisco, Imperva, Checkpoint, to name a few
Travel
With offices in London, Stevenage, Malta, Italy, Australia, Romania and Ireland and consequently a small element of travel (less than 10%) is necessary.
