Your boss may have used the Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer,
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/sam/msia.mspx but I think that might just
do Microsoft programs. I have seen other inventory programs out there, and
Microsoft's say on it is at
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/sam/aspx/findtool.aspx.
Sincerely,
Donald

Subject: Microsoft Network Analyzer?
Does anyone know of a MS product (free or pay) that would go out based
on a defined subnet and perform software inventory on client machines?
My boss said he used something similar about a year ago and cant think
of what it was... any help woud be great
