Everyone I'm aware of uses either winpcap or a proprietary shim. AFAIK
there's nothing in the normal networking stack to allow for promiscuous
packet receiving.

Hello All,

I'm now looking for sniffer on Windows platform, is there any command line
based sniffer that can be executed on Windows 2000, Windows XP without any

Please advise.

Thx.
