vBulletin newreply.php Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
vBulletin is reportedly affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the newreply.php script. This issue is due to a failure of the application to properly sanitize user-supplied URI input. An attacker may exploit this issue to have malicious HTML or script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user and within the context of a visited web site. This may potentially lead to theft of cookie based authentication credentials, other attacks are also possible. |
