PuTTY Remote SSH2_MSG_DEBUG Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Solution: The vendor has released an upgrade dealing with this issue. Gentoo has issued an update for the PuTTY package included with Gentoo Linux. Users are advised to upgrade: # emerge --sync # emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=net-misc/putty-0.56" TortoiseCVS 1.8.3 is available to address this issue. PuTTY for Symbian OS 1.3.2 RC1 is available to address this issue. IBM has released a flash alert with instructions to upgrade to PuTTY version 0.58 in SAN Volume Controller Master Console.
