Solution:
Avaya has released an advisory (ASA-2005-034) that acknowledges this vulnerability for Avaya products. Avaya advise that customers restrict local access to the affected Avaya products until a fix is made available. Please see the referenced Avaya advisory for further details.

Red Hat has released advisories RHSA-2005:016-13 and RHSA-2005:017-14 along with fixes to address this issue on Red Hat Linux Enterprise IA-32 and IA-64 platforms. Customers who are affected by this issue are advised to apply the appropriate updates.
