Linux Kernel ZLib Invalid Memory Access Local Denial of Service Vulnerability

The Linux kernel is reported prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability. This issue arises because the software fails to handle exceptional conditions in a proper manner.

This can allow a local attacker to deny service to legitimate users due to a kernel oops. Since the zlib library is used throughout the kernel, attackers may likely find various avenues to exploit this issue.
