Apple Mac OS X CoreFoundation Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
CoreFoundation is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability. The issue presents itself when specially crafted URIs are handled. A successful attack may result in a denial-of-service condition or remote unauthorized access because of arbitrary code execution in the context of the affected application. NOTE: This issue was previously discussed in BID 15647 (Apple Mac OS X Security Update 2005-009 Multiple Vulnerabilities), but has been assigned its own record to better document the vulnerability. |
