Opera Web Browser JPEG Image Handling Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

The Opera web browser is susceptible to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied input before copying it to an insufficiently sized memory buffer.

This issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary machine code in the context of affected applications, facilitating the remote compromise of affected computers.

Opera versions prior to 9.0 are vulnerable to this issue.
