Texinfo File Handling Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Texinfo is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied input before copying it to an insufficiently sized memory buffer. Exploiting this issue allows attackers to cause the affected applications using Texinfo to crash, denying service to legitimate users. Arbitrary code execution may also be possible, but this has not been confirmed. |
