Xine-Lib RuleMatches Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
The 'xine-lib' library running on Real media is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the currently logged-in user. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial of service. |
