Google Search Appliance UTF-7 Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability
The Google Search Appliance is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the device fails to handle UTF-7-encoded URIs securely. Attackers may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. The Google Search Appliance and Google Mini Search Appliance are vulnerable to this issue. |
