Symantec Device Driver SYMTDI.SYS Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
Applications running the SYMTDI.SYS device driver are prone to a privilege-escalation vulnerability because the driver fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied input. Local attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM-level privileges. A successful exploit will completely compromise affected computers. Failed exploit attempts will likely cause the computer to crash. |
