Sun Solaris ACE_SETACL Local Denial Of Service Vulnerability
Sun Solaris is prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue on an affected computer to cause a kernel panic, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. Presumably, attackers may be able to exploit this issue on 64-bit systems to execute arbitrary code, but this has not been confirmed. We will update this BID as more information emerges. Solaris 10 is vulnerable; prior versions may also be affected. |
