Eudora Mail Imap Flags Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Eudora Mail is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to properly bounds-check user supplied input before copying it into an insufficiently sized memory buffer. Attackers can exploit this issue by enticing victims into connecting to a maliciously crafted IMAP email server using the vulnerable application. An attacker may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the vulnerable application. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions. This issue affects Eudora 7.1. |
