Linux Kernel wait_task_stopped Local Denial of Service Vulnerability
The Linux kernel is prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to properly handle certain process-exit conditions. Attackers can exploit this issue to trigger kernel crashes, denying service to legitimate users. Versions prior to Linux kernel 2.6.23.8 as well as 2.6.24-rc1 and 2.6.24-rc1 are vulnerable. |
