Linux Kernel Prior to 2.6.24.1 'vmsplice_to_user()' Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
The Linux kernel is prone to a privilege-escalation vulnerability because it fails to adequately validate a user-supplied pointer value. A local attacker can exploit this issue to write to arbitrary memory locations on the affected computer and gain elevated privileges. This issue affects Linux Kernel 2.6.23 through 2.6.24. |
