IBM ISS Internet Scanner HTML Injection Vulnerability

IBM ISS Internet Scanner is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because the application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content.

Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would run in the context of the affected website, potentially allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.

This issue affects Internet Scanner 7.0 Service Pack 2 (build 7.2.2005.52); other versions may also be vulnerable.
