Sun Java Server Faces Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Sun Java Server Faces is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of an affected site running an application that is based on Java Server Faces. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. Sun Java Server Faces 1.2 is vulnerable; other versions may be affected as well. |
