BolinOS Local File Include Vulnerability and Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

BolinOS is prone to a local file-include vulnerability and multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied input.

An attacker can exploit a local file-include vulnerability using directory-traversal strings to execute local script code in the context of the application. This may allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information that may aid in further attacks.

Leveraging a cross-site scripting vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

BolinOS 4.6.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
