Linux Kernel DCCP Subsystem Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
The Linux kernel is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability caused by insufficient boundary checking. Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition. Linux kernel 2.6.18 is known to be vulnerable, but other versions are likely affected as well. |
