S-CMS SQL Injection and Cookie Authentication Bypass Vulnerabilities
S-CMS is prone to an SQL-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data before using it in an SQL query. The application is also prone to an authentication-bypass vulnerability because it fails to adequately verify user-supplied input used for cookie-based authentication. Exploiting the SQL-injection issue could allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database. The attacker can leverage the authentication-bypass vulnerability to gain administrative access to the affected application. S-CMS 1.1 Stable is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected. |
