SGI IRIX rpc.xfsmd Weak Authentication Vulnerability
The IRIX XFS filesystem management daemon relies on client-supplied AUTH_UNIX credentials for authentication. This may be bypassed by remote attackers, allowing for the invocation of implemented remote procedure calls. A malicious host invoking these calls may do so to obtain root privileges on the affected host. |
