Microsoft JVM Codebase Information Disclosure Vulnerability
A vulnerability exists in the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine(JVM). By creating a malicious Java applet with a specially constructed codebase, it is possible for a remote attacker to gain read access to local files on a target system. Gaining read access on a target system may allow an attacker to gain information needed to launch further attacks. This vulnerability was originally reported in BID 5670. |
