Netscape Directory Server SMTP Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

A buffer overflow vulnerability has been discovered in the Netscape Directory Server. The issue occurs when malformed data is supplied in the 'RCPT TO:' field of a malicious email and passed to the Netscape Directory Server via the Messaging Server. By exploiting this issue it may be possible for an attacker to corrupt stack memory with attacker-supplied values. This will result in the execution of malicious instructions in the context of the server.
