Microsoft SMB Request Handler Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Microsoft SMB request handler has been reported prone to a buffer overflow vulnerability. It has been reported that it is possible to craft a malicious SMB request packet that will trigger the assignment of insufficient memory. This could result in a buffer overflow condition. This issue may be exploited to cause a denial of service condition, or ultimately the execution of arbitrary attacker supplied code. |
