Solution: Hewlett-Packard has released an updated advisory (HPSBUX0311-297 Rev. 2) to address this issue. Customers who are potentially affected by this vulnerability are advised to apply the appropriate patch as soon as possible. SCO has released advisory CSSA-2003-SCO.31 with fixes to address this issue. Sun has released Alert ID 57414 with patches to address this issue.
