Hi
I knew as soon as I released the black and white patches for 0.9.3.3
they'd release the next version, typical. So I've updated the patches
and they are available on www.digininja.org as usual.

At the moment I haven't tested these patches, I'm still in DC after
Shmoocon and will test them properl

Hi
After a lot of promising people I'd do this I've finally got round to
adding black and white listing to karma.

You can now tell the drivers to either ignore specified ssids or only
respond to the same list. This should mean that certain people at
certain hacker conferences won't get told off thi

Hello,

I am writing a presentation on wireless security aimed at SMEs at a
cybercrime prevention event this month. I've been asked to keep the
acronyms and technical stuff out ( I may do a demo though :-). I am

Thanks, I have visited the note url. However, I am looking for individual experience from those in the security field.
Have you found this cert helpful in the job arena? The Google searches I conducted came up with results that were too old to be useful.

Has anyone had experience with the CWSP cert? I am not too familiar with
it, but have seen it once or twice. Is this a recognized cert? Will this have value to the holder?

Thanks,
fred

I believe the switch just powers off the wireless transceiver in most laptop models. A detailed schematic of each laptop may be needed to confirm.

It sounds like a daft question but what to the wifi switches on
laptops actually do? I've been using my Toshiba with built in rtl8187
all morning and just noticed that the switch says that wifi is off
but it wasn't.

Unfortunately this card won't go into Master mode so I can't test if I
could br

I have used Russix over the last few years and this version is v good. Using the tools is easier on Russix than BT3 IMHO.

Russix is a dedicated wireless live CD not a "jack of all trades" so it is only 200Mb, or so, in size.

I've not actually played with BT3 as of yet so can't comment. My aim is to update RUSSIX more regularly than BT so you should see new tools quicker. The Evil Twin attack especially, goes down well during demos.
