I have read libnet's guide but i don't understand how to build an ip packet. I have to write: libnet_build_ipv4(........), but first of this what have I to write?
I'm sorry for this simple question but I'm trying now to use Libnet.

This should be a relatively simple problem, but it is beyond me. I'm trying
to write 1243 bytes to the wire (which should fit in an ethernet frame), but
am getting "Message too long".

When I build an igmp message with

libnet_build_igmp
libnet_build_ipv4
libnet_build_ethernet

The packet is really smaller than the minimum ethernet frame (46 data bytes). If I try to add the trailer at the ethernet layer (so it is 64 bytes) it wipes out the packet, is it possible to have an off

I encountered big tourble. then I turned to libnet sample code in win32

I installed new WinPcap_3_1_beta4.exe. windows.net 2003 enviroment .
the libnet win32 sample code is compiled all right.

but the sample code can not

Hey all.
I just upgraded my old sparc box to OpenBSD 3.7-current and then (of
course) installed libnet from source (1.1.2.1).
OpenBSD have done some adds to gcc so that gcc warns you when sprint
is being used (just as they have done with strcpy, strcat and strcmp
before).

Hello list,

Im trying to build an application that will forge UDP packets based on
information retrieved by libpcap. The box that I'm using is a FreeBSD
5.3-REL with ports retrieved from the instalation CD. The libnet version
is: libnet-devel-1.1.2.1.

libnet-based tools such as Packit and ISIC. If I try
to generate a high-volume of traffic using these
tools, with various options and protocols, the error
rate is extremely high. ISIC says:

Failed to send packet: No buffer space available

- change some ifdef and so on in libnet-swab.h (should be rewritten)
- IPv6:
- fixed libnet_in6_addr
- add RAW6 mode ... but tested only on Linux
- add builders, checksum, and new sample (sample/ip6.c)
