Microsoft may charge extra for new security software

Microsoft Corp. disclosed plans Thursday to offer frustrated users of its Windows software new tools within 30 days to remove spyware programs secretly running on computers. But it might cost extra in coming months.

So this shouldn't prove to difficult for the authors of spyware... it's going to be a M$ product and will likely fall prey to the same bad programming that they've always put out.

Look, its not Microsoft's problem.

Its the spyware, hackers, and crackers.

You can log onto any computer on the internet if you know its IP address.

Once you do that, harm can be done to the computer.

Most spyware is installed not because of vulnerable software but because of the user accepting it. So how is it M$ fault? Eventually spyware and av will merge and I don't think there will be a big market for stand alone tools when the AV will do it....
