I think that's very pessimistic. First of all, it will help IT admins who run Windows in a corporate environment to keep their workstation and notebook users secure. That's a huge benefit.

No prescriptive guidance, whatsoever, for any of the myriad, publicly known, but as yet, unpatched vulns in MS OSes and apps.
