Privacy-sensitive U.S. citizens aiming to get their government-mandated annual free credit reports have to be careful not to endanger their sensitive data instead, stated a report released on Thursday.

I can understand why TransUnion didn't respond to a request for comment on the site "FreeCreditReport.com" they don't own it....

So is it the sites fault that the consumer is too stupid to verify where they are sending their money/information? If I had 50 people send me $35 cash because they are to dumb to verify the address they put on an envelope does that mean I have to give it back??...
